With a little help from Noel!! (not sure that “help” is the right word)
We may not have a lot of room to garden, but we don’t let that stop us!! We plant what we can in the small triangle of dirt we call the garden and what doesn’t fit gets put in pots and put where ever the sun will reach it, and high enough that Noel CAN’T reach it!!
Yesterday Sofia planted her own little pea garden in a basket that my Mom brought home from work. I believe that everyone should have some kind of garden, big, small, herb, vegetable or flower, gardening is good for the soul. Plus when you get to cook with and eat fresh from the garden goodness….nothing better!!
Yesterday for lunch I had a tomato sandwich made from tomatoes that Lucia & Sofia grew, DELICIOUS!! It made me think back to when I was growing up and the tomato sandwiches Gram made us from my Grandfathers garden and the peas that we would eat right from the basket. So our garden might not be huge but its full of goodness that hopefully will make my kids smile when they think back.

i so need to get working on my garden! Thanks for the reminder that its already THAT TIME OF YEAR! Yikes!
But i agree...something homegrown just tastes better! My dad has sectioned off a LARGE part of their back yard and put in raised beds. Last year we would have full meals out of his garden and it was just so satisfying! Plus, no fear or wonder of what is in/on your food! Just home grown goodness! Hope you have a fruitful season! :)
