Here is an example of “I should have known” 3 kids and you let 1 get a bird…Helloooooo. After weeks of princess Lucia asking Daddy if she could have her own bird. Guess what she got?!
This is Snowball. She is a beautiful bird but…..
She is not as friendly as Buffalo. We really lucked out with him. He is a wonderful bird. The kids can get a little carried away with wanting to touch and hold the birds and he has never bitten them. Snowball on the other hand, she likes to bite me so the kids can’t hold her just yet. I had hoped since Buffalo is so gentle that if we went back to the same pet store our chances of getting another “kid friendly bird” would be more likely.
Snowball may not be a big fan of ours yet but she is in love with Buffalo. I’m pretty sure the feelings are mutual. They are never far apart and if one can’t see the other they both start chirping like crazy until they find each other!
Snowball & Buffalo~ do their names give away anything about us?! For the record I wanted to name her Ocean!!
We thought it would be nice for the birds to have a place to hang and play outside of their cage so the kids (with a little help from Papa) made them a table top playground!!
So we had a fun productive afternoon with Papa as craft leader and built the birds a fun playground for a grand total of $4. ($29 if you buy them from the pet store!!)
We have a few toys and a bathtub to add!
Pretty Awesome if you ask me!!!!
